Happy Birthday to Adelaide! For Addie's birthday, we let her pick one friend to take to Chuck E. Cheese's (we wanted to get away from birthday parties with friends happening every year).
Yes! We were going to Chuck E. Cheese's, but ate pizza at Sam's Club, because we could afford so many more tokens that way. So, I like to think of us as economically wise, rather than just cheap.
Adelaide and Brooklyn were so excited to be at Chuck E. Cheese's, but Addie was less enthusiastic about getting a picture with the mechanical Chuck E. Cheese. He scared her, and I kept having to tell her to get closer to him.
Adelaide and Brooklyn really enjoyed playing in the tunnels, and I really enjoyed trying to take pictures of them. It was pretty hard, though, because they did not want to stay still.
They also loved going down the slide right after each other, which allowed me to snap this sweet pic.
Can you tell by Addie's face that this game required diligent focus? She was in the zone ;-)
Alexia got really into a serious phone conversation with who knows who.
I wish I knew the big story being told by who knows who at this point in the conversation.
In spending their tickets, Adelaide and Brooklyn stayed true to their personalities. Addie chose a big sucker and a purple butterfly necklace, and Brooklyn chose a big sucker and a plastic cockroach. Talk about classic!!!
Brooklyn both falling asleep on the twenty minute drive home.
Adelaide's actual birthday fell on General Conference Sunday this year. Jared, being the morning person that he is, got right on top of making Addie some Mickey Mouse pancakes for her birthday breakfast.
The night before her birthday, Adelaide said that she wanted a 'Barbie Cake.' When I had asked what kind of cake she wanted, I was just thinking she would say chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, etc. So, I had to make a mad dash to the store that night, so that I could make her birthday wish come true.
Since we just had a bundt cake pan, I had to get a little creative and have Snow White be in a sitting position. I wrapped Snow White in parchment paper beforehand, which made clean up a breeze.
Once again, Happy 4th Birthday to Adelaide!
Happy Birthday cute girl! I still can't believe how close in age are kids are! Love it! :D
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Addie! Sorry we didn't ever get to call you on the phone- we were out of town for the actual day- and well, life just got busy. I love that Brooklyn chose a cockroach and Addie a butterfly. That made me smile. Miss you guys!!
ReplyDeleteIt looked like they had so much fun, thanks again for taking Brooklyn. I love those pictures of them sleeping, they had too much fun.
