I am now officially a 'Soccer Mom,' ...

Thanks to my dear Adelaide who had her first soccer game yesterday!

This picture is kind of sad, but it is so expressive of how Addie felt at the start! She gets so terribly shy at the thought of people watching her! We just can say that she was less than thrilled!

Luckily, after the game, she felt much better. Notice how she is standing taller, looking up, and exhibiting better posture! Her confidence had improved drastically from start to finish!!!

To top it all off, she became super happy once she had gotten her 'after game snack.'

The time when I was proudest of her, however, was when she immediately looked to Lexi to offer her sissy some of her snack! What an amazingly sweet thing to do!

I have to confess that bribery helped in her keeping on going throughout practice and the game;-) We developed a rewards system to encourage her to do those things that are really, really hard for her!

Each time that she completes an event, she gets to color in part of her chart. In the end, she has the chance of getting a 'Build-a-Bear.' We hope that this will help her in her journey of overcoming her fears, moving forward with quite a bit more confidence.
What a sweetheart. I had no idea she was so shy. What a great mom you are, helping her over come her fears...you are an amazing mommy.

These pictures really makes me miss you guys. Lennix still asks why Addie had to move away. He misses her too. Keep posting pictures and I'll keep checking it out!!
