More About Our Little Man

We are all loving this little guy! I especially love how easy of a baby he has been so far!!! He is not a fussy baby at all, although he does have his moments (i.e. he can't stand diaper changes, clothing changes, baths, or broccoli).
You may notice that his hair looks almost a strawberry blonde in a lot of these pics, due to the effects that the flash plays on his hair. In person, his hair looks a medium to light brown. He definitely has the lightest hair of our kiddos so far, so we may have a towhead on our hands before too long!

Here is the best little helper in the family holding Jed. Today, while I was showering, I didn't hear Jed cry at all. I was way happy thinking that he had slept through my shower. Soon I found out from my little babysitter, Addie, that Jed woke up and started to cry when I was up there. She just had given him his binki, and he fell back to sleep and was still asleep when I came down! I am so loving having tons of help from my responsible Adelaide, who is sure to become Jed's second mommy!

And I simply can't say enough about this man, a.k.a. Grandpa Pete. He got to stay with us for a week and helped to entertain the girls and to spoil them rotten;-) One of my fondest memories of this trip will always be him and Addie being 'Wii Buddies.' He is one of the most generous and kind men that I know!!!

Jed is so lucky to have so much family that loves him and will constantly be there for him!

How do you like the 'do? Addie does not like it one bit!!! Many times that Jed's hair stands up, she comments on how it doesn't look good that way. She has tried to rub it down multiple times. So, if Jed ever wants to make spikes his permanent style, he will have to have it out with Adelaide;-)

Here is my sweet little lazy boy, getting some quality sleep in our big lazy boy.

I do have to say that it is an interesting time in the relationship of me and my girls. We are doing really well, but I feel that there are always a lot of adjustments that every individual person in a family has to make when you permanently add someone new into the mix. I am trying to learn all over again how to be a 'good mom' to all three of my little ones now. P.S. I still am taken back quite often when I think about me being a mom of three! I feel like with that status I should have it together more than I do!!!

And now the unveiling of the true hero, or I should say heroine, of the past few weeks! According to us, Jared's mom is an absolute angel. She did so much for us; really, she did basically everything for us for the past few weeks. She is an amazing woman who puts her whole heart and soul into supporting and loving her family! So, it is no surprise that our little Lexi attached herself to Grandma for the entirety of her time with us. It proves Alexia's good taste!!!
Oh, Lexi, how hard can it be to look at the camera and smile at the same time!

Mama/Grandma Pete, thank you so much for everything that you did! We absolutely loved having you here! Thank you for letting Alexia be attached to your hip/leg/hand, etc. Thank you for talking to me (I loved it!!!)! Thank you for feeding us so well; the food tasted so good, and was so full of the nutrition we needed! Thank you for taking care of Addie when she was sick, so that we could keep me and Jed at a distance. Thank you for all of the things that you bought for Jed and the girls! Thank you for making our transition the best and easiest that it possibly could be! We love you dearly!!!!!!!

I'm glad you are all adjusting well to this new little addition to your family! How is it having a boy? Different already..or mostly the same..Cute family of 5!!

For the record- You are an amazing mom! No mom has it all together..but I don't believe for one minute that YOU don't have it together. Your Barbara. The girl who always had it together. Even if you don't, I still think you're amazing, and now you know how us normal people feel. ;)
