We love the newest member of our family, our first boy!
Jed Jared made his arrival on January 28, 2011 @ 1:56 p.m.
As seen on the above scale, he weighed in at 8 lbs 12 oz., and he measured in at 21.5 in.
He definitely was not thrilled with being on the scale! He tried to bust a move off of it by grasping to the edge with all his might the entire time! It was kind of funny to see!
Jed's big sisters came to visit him on the day he was born, so that we could be together as one big, happy family!

On day two, Grandma and Grandpa Pete helped the girls come over for their second visit, bearing gifts.
The girls also got some special gifts, since this second visit was going to be an extended one!
It turned out that Jed's timing was perfect, as it allowed the men to strategically plan the visit during the BYU Basketball game, since the hospital had it on Versus! They were so into the game that I initially could not even get them to divert their attention from the game to get a picture!
This is because they were so focused on watching the famous Jimmer at work (please notice that I amazingly caught #32 on the TV in this picture)! 
We are happy to be home now with our 'not-so-little guy,' who started to hold up his head on the second day of his life. He has been a very good baby, which we hear may be able to be attributed to his 'large stature.' ;-)
It is pretty crazy thinking that I am now a mother of three! I am so happy that I am!!!
BARBARA!!! Congratulations! He is ADORABLE! I just love him! What sweet pictures too! I'm glad that you were able to have family there during this exciting time! You have the cutest little family and I am so so happy for you! I love the name! Congrats Petersons! I love you guys!

What a great little addition to your darling family!! I'm so glad that the delivery went well, and I hope your recovery is swift and you get feeling better soon!! Don't try and do anything too big, I know you are probably already up and moving. ;) Relax, and enjoy that baby boy. Let everyone else help you for a bit. I love you and am SO HAPPY!! I can't believe he is already holding his head up?!! What? What a big boy!! :D

ReplyDeleteCongrats! He really is a big boy, nah, not really. But he and Talia are probably about the same size now. And she's two months - wow, time flies... We're excited you have three now, I know you'll love it just like we do.

ReplyDeleteOh congrats!!!!! I am so excited for you. Now just remember, the most important thing about a baby boy. Do NOT change the diaper if his penis is erect. That happens when they are about to go potty!
