One of the things that is difficult about the medical residency experience is that even in the very limited time that Jared is home, often he needs to sleep to make up for the lack thereof the night before. No one should be expected to survive on 2-4 hours of sleep (he is averaging only 5 1/2 on good nights, anyway). Psychologically, it is hard when they are home, but have to be unavailable, so that they won't die of sleep exhaustion. One Sunday, us girls did a special activity to help us feel like Jared's nap time would pass swiftly and quietly. We call it...
LEAF ART (which kind of sounds funny if you do not pronounce it well).
I did a masterpiece of leaf art, as well; but, due to specific reasons, I will hold off the unveil for a while yet. I know . . . the suspense . . . is more . . . than anyone . . . can . . . handle . . . ha ha!
What a cute idea! I'll have to try that one with my boys. I'm running out of ideas for keeping them quiet while Eric sleeps. I should have known that I can look to you for awesome ones! And by the way... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I hope that you have a wonderful day! Love you Barb! I hope that you have a great day today! Cannot wait to see a post about your fun day! ;)
