The Verdict is In...

Jed is officially 1 year old, and he is going to have a healthy, LITTLE SISTER to pester in June!!!
For his first b-day cake, he got this funny football cake that was made out of chocolate cupcakes, hot fudge, marshmallows, and dyed coconut.  This was created to specifically try to maximize on the potential of its messiness!!!  We were hoping for an all star performance.  Did he deliver?
First, he gave it the stare down, poked at it a bit, ate some coconut, with definite uncertainty the whole time.
So, after my mom (who always thinks every baby is thirsty ALWAYS) suggested he may want a drink, we let him have a water break.  No surprise, she was right!
When the game was not picking up speed in the least, Jared tried to have a private practice session with the should-be champion.
Lexi also trained him, showing him how to properly dip and lick the competition.

A bewildered and confused Jed decided he would take the game into his own hands, or at least a fork into his own hand.
Once he had it, he scared off any opponents with his way too cheesy, slightly creepy, stares.
Jed's main fan came in for the after game party to try to get Jed to share in the wreckage he left behind him.  He was not "an animal" like we thought he might be, but he definitely gave an amazing performance compared to his predecessors.
His trophies were many; they were the coolest gifts ever from people who love him!
Happy Birthday to you, Jed!!!  Thanks for allowing the pre game show to be our ultrasound for #4!
