Easter eggs, that is!
It was especially fun this year, because we had the Batchelets over to our house for the festivities.
They have been fabulous friends and mentors to us, as Andy is one year ahead of Jared in residency. They always have been generous with their advice and their friendship. It is crazy to think that in a few short months they will be moving on to greater things, namely actually getting to practice ophthalmology. It is crazy to think that in one year from now we will be doing the same. Surprisingly, there actually is a light at the end of this training tunnel!!!
This year we utilized 3 different methods of coloring our eggs:
1- Using a fun pack of paint rollers.
2- The original dyeing method.
3- The silk tie dye method.
We had a bunch of colorful eggs by the end of the night!
This picture that Addie took of my belly looks quite a bit like an enormous Easter egg, don't ya think?
Then for Easter Sunday we got the kids gussied up for church, and later that day had the missionaries and Brother Robinson over for dinner. It was fun making resurrection rolls with all of them! I think that may become a traditional part of our Easter feast; they are fun to make, are tasty, and serve as a reminder of what we truly are celebrating.
