Father's Day 2012

Due to the timing of Jared (Daddy) and Grandaddy Palmer's trips to go to work in Arizona or back home to Utah, the girls had to throw an early Father's Day party!  They are quite the party throwers, so I give them free reign over the decorations, festivities, food, etc.
For this special party, they decided to make thrones for their two honored guests.  They fancied up our kitchen chairs to look regal, colored pictures to hang up for the decor, and then threw in some balloons to really get the party started;o)

The girls pulled off a great party that the Daddies really appreciated, especially after receiving their incredible gifts!  Ha ha...I am still perplexed as to why Addie was in her swimsuit!  I guess that is my punishment for not blogging about it soon enough to remember.

With Jared being all alone on Father's Day, we wanted to let him know that we were missing him and thinking about him!  So, the girls drew him awesome pictures (Addie's is above; Lexi's is below)!
I love how Lexi tries to somewhat mimic Addie's drawings and then adds in her own twists to it, so that she won't totally be a "copycat!"
Finally, we took a pic to use for a Father's Day card to send to their Daddy and Grandaddies!
Above was the version that went to Jared.  He especially got a kick out of Lexi's message!  My favorite thing from this Father's Day was done by their daddy.  Since Jared had peace and quiet = not us, he decided to write a Father's Day journal entry to the kids.  I loved getting to read it; it was super special, and I can't wait until the day that the kids will read it and know how much they are loved by their daddy.
