Checking Out the Arizona Area

At the end of January, I went with this cute hunk to check out the area that we would soon call home.
We loved, Loved, LOVED the weather, that was supposedly 'cold' to the people there;o)  I got to have a little tour of Jared's office to be, got to meet Jared's awesome boss to be and some of his sweet family!  We got to drive around many areas to see where we would want to rent for a year or two, literally getting dizzy as we drove round and around different subdivisions.  We also enjoyed some great Mexican, with the waitress making the guacamole right in front of us!  Everything went really well, because we were almost...
childless on our trip, except for our smallest cutie pie.  Emmy was an angel baby and was fabulous all the times we needed her to be;o)  She also helped us realize how much we are looking forward to only having a 1 1/2 hour, straight through flight to Grandparents, rather than the 4-6 hours of flight, often with a layover, that we have now!  We had our layover in SLC, but tagging on the extra flight from PHL to SLC or visa versa was just too much for a baby to happily bare.

Yep...Flying from...
Arizona
 over the Grand Canyon
 to Salt Lake City
 ...is EASY PEASY comparatively!!!

So what happened to the silly little munchkins that we left behind?
Well, they basically didn't miss us a bit since they had Grandpa, Grandma and Kaylie to play with and spoil them.  Thank you so much!  They didn't even really care about talking with us on the phone!
The little dude, Jed, was the one we were most worried about, but he just attached himself to Grandpa (in a he wouldn't even let anyone else change his diaper sort of way) and was fine and dandy with that set up.  Ha ha ha...I still smile that Grandpa said that he had a stronger appreciation for what women do because of the experience (which the plentiful super duper pooper diapers must've played a large part in)!!!  Oh. So. Funny!

p.s.  I got even more happy about living in Arizona was when I spotted this beauty!  I simply had to take a picture!!!
I am not sure if it is legal to have a truck jacked up this high or not, but either way it made my day!!!  Just check out the pic below for a height comparison with the other cars.
Oh yeah baby!

4 months and counting!  Oh boy, [sigh] there is a LOT to get done!!!
