...to keep moving forward, despite the days that feel like they drag on and on! In other words, life kept moving forward despite the craziness of all the long hours for Jared and our family during his board prep. Amidst the long days and weeks, we also had moments that were fun and memorable.
PRO BASKETBALL
Jared got to go see a Phoenix Suns' game.Jared went with his boss to the game. Their seats were on the 5th or 6th row! At home, the kids and I tried to see him on TV, but unfortunately he was on the opposite side of the court than the side that was showing most. In other words, we did not watch for long after realizing that. So far, the kids and I haven't jumped on the Suns' fans' bandwagon, partly because I have been told by my Jazz-LOVING brother Josh that I am NOT allowed to be their fan;o)
I love my hubby for being sweet to take this pic as he had been asked to get! Thanks sweetie; I know that selfies are not in your comfort zone, so I do appreciate it!!!
THE SOCHI WINTER OLYMPICS 2014
The Olympics were super fun to watch this year together!
We ended up watching less of them than we initially thought, since I was waiting to watch multiple events with Jared that we DVRed. Studying had to be higher on the priority list for obvious reasons! In other words, by the time we 'could've, would've, should've' watched the events, all of the stories were old news. Ah...such is life at times!
I love my sweet boy's smile! He is a joyful, little dude!!!
ADDIE'S VILLAGE
Something that brought me joy, too, was Addie's village that she made in her spare time!
INCLUDED WAS THE FOLLOWING:
A Lemonade Stand
An Art Museum
A Doctor's Office (for Kids & Adults)
A Farm
A School
Some Homes
An Airport
A Zoo (with an Aquarium)
She seems like she would be a great city planner! Sign me up to live in her village!!!
VALENTINE'S 2014
While Addie got to make her Valentine's box at school, Lexi and I worked hard on hers at home. Of course, she needed it to be a Frozen one! I was pretty pleased with how it turned out, because she was very happy with it! We did individualized "WRITE on!!! You are super SWEET!!!!!" Valentine's cards. I seem to always not add up that doing 1 takes a reasonable amount of time, but doing 50 between the two girls really adds up! Here's to hoping that next year, I will remember and come up with a more simple idea;o)
Thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Pete each kid got a special present to open!
To complete the night, we taught the kids how to make paper airplanes.
I love my littles!!!
Em happily got her present the next day, after having been a bit grumpy the night before, earning herself the 'privilege' of going to bed before everyone else;o), but I still seriously love her face!!!
