We were very happy to get to spend time over spring break with Grandpa and Grandma Pete! We started it out with them treating Lexi to a yummy birthday, Sunday dinner!
Turns out, I do have a mean bone in my body;o) I purposely sent a picture of this to Jared! The cake Lexi had picked out was Jared's favorite!!! In response, he sent me a picture of him getting to finally take a real Sunday nap, undisturbed by the little ones. Touche! While a bit early, they planned an Easter egg hunt while we were there so that my kids could be included. They are so thoughtful like that!!!
They hunted in the MIDDLE,
And down LOW,
And up HIGH,
And over HERE,
And in THERE,
But why, oh, WHY?
The answer is a simple as can be;
They love to hunt for yummy CANDY!!!
After taking the above picture, Jed asked if we were going to do fireworks. Last time we were at Grandpa and Grandma Pete's, it was around July 4th. We had sat on those steps to watch a fun firework show. I was super surprised that Jed remembered that, since he had only been 2 1/2 at the time we had the last firework show. Grandma tried to make his wish come true to the best of her ability and dug out some extra snaps and sparklers that she had had leftover :o) He also said that we needed to dance, as he remembered his mommy being a silly dancer, teaching all the kids to dance by the fence during the flashing fireworks.
Flashing fireworks were not to be had, so we had the kids practice their tap dancing skills by stomping on the snaps.
"Dreams do come true!"
I loved having the kids get to hang with their cousins; we are hoping that we will be able to do this much more often in the not so distant future;o)
We also got to hang out with Great Grandma Pete, and she is SO GREAT!!! We love her a lot; she is such a kind, amazing woman!
Sometimes, both of my babies need their Mommy at the same time. If they are willing to share (and not hit, push, shove or kick), they both get me at the same time and I love it.
I love it anytime time they will sit still long enough to get a close up of them! 16 months apart and as cute as can be;o)
I sure do love all four of my babies! They are getting big fast.
Since, Lexi's glasses were askew and not fixable, we went into Grandpa Pete's office to get some new ones. Lexi chose well!!!
Here is to wondering if Emmy will take after her sissies and need glasses, too. No worries if she does, since I think she looks simply adorable in them, but I am superbly biased!!!
A sad part of that day was that Grandma Pete had gotten sick, so our trip got cut short with the Petersons. In order to try to avoid getting sick and bringing it home to Jared right before his boards, Jared and I decided that the kids and I should head back to my parent's home to stay for the last few days. We were planning on heading south right after we went to Chuck E. Cheese's to celebrate Lexi's birthday with the Peterson's (minus those who were sick). We got as far as the parking lot. Upon, parking, Jed threw up all over! Scott and Rachel were so, so sweet in trying to help me in any way they could while I cleaned him up! Thank you both SO MUCH!!! I decided that since I was already all packed up, I would just make the mad dash down to Provo, hoping that we would have no further incidents.
We got down there and let Lexi open the presents that got sent with us.
They were such fun things, that it made her not as mad at Jed for 'ruining her birthday.'
Thank you to all who made her smile that day!
What made Jared smile big was when he got to see his sweet Lexi in straight glasses. He said that he "almost didn't recognize her with straight glasses." What a silly guy!!! You'd think he was obsessed with eyes and glasses or something...teehee hee hee;o)
Something else in our life that provides so many 'teehee hee hees' for our family are episodes of "Studio C" on the BYU Channel. It is a sketch comedy show that is always clean and often so very funny!!! When we were in Provo, I had the audacity to ask one of the cast members (James) to take a picture with Lexi while attending church there; he and his wife were so cool about it, and his wife even offered to take the picture so that I could be in it, too!
After talking to my sweet sis-in-law, Kaylie, she realized that the main character (Matt Meese) was in her single adult ward. After she laughed at my suggestion of trying to get a date with him, she was sweet enough to get this picture for us.Two cast members down, eight more to go;o) ;o)

So, I LOVE your posts! You are so awesome at keeping this up girly. I get a big fat F on my blog this year..haha!
