This spring has been filled with more than its fair share of stressful times. So, in order to try to focus more on the positive moments, I will share some of the happy stuff that happenened:o)
Addie showed us how to do a "Tarzan!"Jed and Emmy were a part of a playgroup swap that they really enjoyed. Jed always asks if Emmy is going to come too, since one of the first times I kept her home because she had a nasty nose. Once he knows she is coming, he gets excited about going. I think it is adorable that he finds comfort from Emmy's presence, and I am cherishing it because that likely won't last forever ;o)
Corn on the cob + a Blue Rasberry Bahama Bucks Icee = Crazy Yet Colorful Poop
One reason why thumb sucking is a bit gross is that dirty hands don't stop them from anything. I just need to remind myself frequently that she is building a strong immune system, right?
My little non-helping helpers are more than eager to 'help' in the kitchen (and for Emmy, she is also eager to help taste test dough before it is even cooked).
Jed showcased his new person drawing skills and his old face pulling skills all at the same time.
I love when they enter this new phase of being able to depict their world as something more than just scribbles!
One time, I just took too long to get ready, so Jed couldn't help but take a nap on his makeshift bed that he brought in to lay in the bathroom.
Addie had her 2nd grade spring concert. She smiled, sang, and performed in a lovely way.
This picture does not do it justice, but one night we were welcomed on our way home by a full moon shining o'er the temple. The sight was brilliant!
On Easter weekend, Jared had a scout campout. In order to try to make the weekend a bit more special for the kids, I allowed them to all have a sleepover in the guestroom. They enjoyed it.
We also took advantage of going to the park that weekend, since within a short period of time it would get just too hot to enjoy outdoor time. The kids made a sandcastle village together :o)
They also demolished the sandcastle village together!
This highlights one more time when kids feel comfortable in a position that I cringe at. Laying flat on my back on tile... No Thank You!!!
I was really, really happy when I was able to go to 'Muffins with Mom' with this cute girl! I love my sweet Lexi, who sang some really cute songs to me with the other kinders that morning!!!
For the record, Addie loved you (Lexi) and thought you were special and a nice enough 5 year old that she made a book to tell you and to express that she loves you! Awww, so sweet, right?
Jed and Emmy decided to showcase our assortment of cereals all over our table. Yep, we have a lot of sugary cereals in our house, people! Here is the proof.
Addie made a comic strip that I quite enjoyed! I love her imagination!
We finally busted out Addie's cotton candy maker!
The kids were excited!!!
I have to say I enjoyed the process more than the candy itself. I can't enjoy cotton candy like I used to; I guess I am growing up, at least in that regard;o)
I hope your spring will have been fabulous and fun, too!
