Tis the season for carving pumpkins! But this year, we pegged our pumpkins instead with the fun kits we were given!

Here are our pumpkins with their pumpkins, the ones they had picked out at the farm a couple of weeks ago.

Jared got into the Halloween spirit, by fabulously using it as an excuse to pull off 'tricks' and mischief!

I love this pic, especially how Adelaide's smile is so forced! She thinks the innards of pumpkins are so yucky; so, there was no way a sincere smile was going to happen when her hand was grabbing the pumpkin goop!

Adelaide is anything but camera shy!!! This picture is dedicated to Grandma and Grandpa Pete, in memory of the face your little boy used to pull!

Lexi isn't half bad at 'cheesing' it up either!

Our girls definitely have enjoyed pulling funny faces more these days. Adelaide starts it and Alexia is always eager to join right in. This time, Jared even hopped on the band wagon, to at least make the picture consistent.

Our pegged cat and bat were fun to make this year! I really liked how the girls were able to help more during the process, since we really aren't going to be trusting them with sharp knives any time soon!

Another classic activity that we attempted this year was making and decorating sugar cookies. Yes, I have a 5 year old and this was my first time personally making them! Pitiful, isn't it!?! BTW, tossing some small marshmallows in a bag with a few drops of green food coloring makes for some pretty decent stems for pumpkins:0)

Like father, like daughter! Alexia made this cookie for Daddy! These two are major chocolate lovers! The funny thing is that she probably ate 3 times that amount of chocolate chips during the whole cookie decorating process, since we made the mistake of placing the chocolate chip bag right in front of her!
We had a Happy, sugar filled, Halloween, and we hope y'all did, too!!!
That picture of Addy looks like it should be on a pumpkin it is so scary, but it is also very cute. hey did you know you are due the same time as karlie dean. Brooklyn talks about visiting addy at the ocean all the time. We will be there to visit when it gets warm because Brooklyn has to go to the ocean, her words. We miss you guys.
