My Love/Hate Relationship with Water

I LOVED THE WATER..
at the Wildwoods Beach that we went to with the Blacks for my birthday this year!
Lexi experienced her own love/hate relationship with the water.  She LOVED it last year and would not stop running out into it, but she HATED it this year and was quite frightened it.
Luckily, with patience and persuasion, I got her to start LOVING, or at least liking, it again.

I HATED THE WATER...
that came bubbling up out of our shower downstairs (yep, you guessed it...NASTINESS), almost making us have to stay home all day on my birthday.  Fortunately, it just set us back 2-3 hours.
I LOVED THE WATER,...
although it was fake, that my little family set up to try to make me feel better that day.  Being honest, it didn't make me feel to better on that day (I was super disappointed), but it has made me feel so grateful ever since!

I LOVED THAT THE WATER...
from Hurricane Irene was going to come when I was safe with my little ones in Utah.
I HATED THAT THE WATER,...
made it so that we had to fear for Jared's safety, as he had to weather the storm (hurricane, flood, and tornado warnings) all alone.  We had to just wait and hope and definitely pray for his safety.  Adelaide expressed her worries through this art of her 'not getting to go to school' because of the hurricane.
I LOVED THAT THE WATER...
ended up causing less damage to our area than a hail storm had a few weeks before.
The two above pics were from the hail storm, not the hurricane.

So, there you have it (the drama of my relationship with water)!  How about you?  Do you LOVE or HATE water today? Why?
