Sweet and Sassy

That is what our 4 year old is...super sweet and super sassy.  Because of that, we took her on her birthday to a kid beauty parlor, called Sweet and Sassy, so that she could have a beautiful...
BUTTERFLY FAIRY MAKEOVER!  But, we will get to more of that later.
Our day started out with a big breakfast for the birthday girl of muffins, fruit salad, bacon, and hash browns.
Then we mixed the order up just a bit, trying to make sure that we could get everything in before Jared had a lecture that evening.  So, we opened presents right after breakfast. As she unwrapped, Jed got wrapped.  I think he looks good in pink!!!

After that we took our girls to get all gussied up at Sweet and Sassy.  It was so fun watching the looks on their faces and the jumping up and down of Alexia when we took them in and told them what they were going to get to do!!!
First off, they got their nails painted.  Addie's were pink to match with the butterfly wings she picked out.  Lexi's were red and blue, not matching anything, but they were what caught her fancy.

The day was same old, same old, for our little dude, chilling in the stroller with food constantly in hand.
Check out the cute little butterfly decal!   I have tried to do stuff like that before, but I realized by watching their beautician at work, that you have to have nail polishes with thin tips.  No wonder mine always turned out looking like ugly blobs;o)

Next was 'up do' time.  Lexi never has had that content/happy of a look on her face when I do her hair, and she definitely held a million times more still there, too.
 Next for the make up,...
and check out how cute her hair turned out.  One of my favorite things was watching how to do the hairstyle, thinking I can do that!
Here I am pregnant, but it is my four year old and six year old that get all the pampering treatments!  Ha ha...is that fair?  Hmm...I guess it is what I signed up for in that unwritten motherhood contract that contained so many more details and clauses than I had ever bargained for ;o) ;o)
And now I present our two official butterfly fairies!
We used a gift card to go eat out.  Lexi asked about being sung to (yep...she is not our shy one).  We arranged it, and she got a free dessert for her bravery, which she shared with the other butterfly fairy.  No worries, though, they still had room for a bit of the butterfly cake that Lexi had helped me decorate that morning.  It was not anything fancy, but having her help, watching her not be able to resist licking her fingers when a little frosting got on them, was priceless.

Happy 4th, little Miss Alexia!!!
