Catching Up About Christmas Break

Come take a ride with us (just like the girls have on some Saturdays to do some post surgery checks with their Daddy), but this time our ride will take us to the past...since I am so behind in my posting!
On the Saturday before Christmas, we met up with some of our friends from the even more distant past. These friends, the Johnsons, had us come to their home for a fabulous dinner and some cookie decorating.  Thanks Johnsons; we had a blast!!!
Here's proof that...
playing with food, and then getting to eat it, can't be beat!  It is definitely something to smile about:o)
Jason and Jared 'rebonded' over tales of what they've seen in their residencies/fellowship (for Jason).
Kayce and I focused on catching up about people we both knew in Ohio, and, of course, focused a lot on our kiddos!
It was cute watching Jed play at their house with Dax!  Poor boy; I didn't even know that he would play with a friend so well!!!  I never...and I mean NEVER...even think of setting up any play dates for him.  His sisters make it so his life with them is one continual play date in my mind.  Maybe next year I will have the motivation to help him have his own friends, maybe once the two oldest are both in school.  Hmm...maybe...maybe not; I guess it will take TBDL status (to be determined later;o).
After we went to the Johnson's and had Jason share how he wanted to hold onto Emmy's hair and snip it off...ha ha...we determined she probably was WAY past due for a hair cut!  No baby should have to have hair that is a mix of a Cabbage Patch Doll and a troll forever, eh?
I let Jared take the first snip, since I think I had done it with all the other kiddos.  I stepped in for just a little touch up.  It was a huge change and it actually took us a few days to get used to her normal due.  We took away part of her identity;o)  Luckily, it didn't take any of her sweetness away; she is such a precious little girl!

More posts to come, hopefully soon...and even more once we figure out how to appropriately store all of our photos that take too much space off our computer!
