Debuting Two Amazing Artists in Training

We had to make some decisions this year about what activities we could bite off this year for our older girls!  With Jed and Em being so small and busy, and with us getting used to this new area and the girls' new homework heavy school, I really wanted to keep things a bit more simple.  Because of this we signed them up to be in the same dance class as each other, and we decided to do an art class at home on Tuesdays.

Their first class was extra special, because their Aunt Abby, who is a true artist, taught them their first art lesson!  No doubt it will always be their best lesson, as well, since now they have to settle for their non-artist mommy for a teacher ;o)

I had a lesson that was very exciting for me to have the girls do.
We used the pipe cleaner bracelets and rings that Addie made for me for my birthday as the circle-ish stamps for their paintings.
I mixed colors to try to get them to match what I wanted.
Then, the girls went to work creating their masterpieces!
Once they were finished and framed,...
...they became two perfect focal points in our main bathroom!!!
Addie's is pictured on the left; I thought it ended up looking like a whimsical elephant.  Do you see it?

Lexi's had many 3 ringed snowmen, according to her, which represented people in her family; some were sleeping and some were not;o)  So, cute!

These make me super happy!!!
