We celebrated Jared's birthday swiftly on his actual birthday, letting him open his presents, between coming home and Young Men's.

Here is the birthday boy with his two girls!

Here is Jared looking at his lovely card from Addie (and us). We have really been trying to save up for our move, so initially we weren't going to get any gifts. Then, we decided it would be okay if we bought a few items from the dollar store.

Yes ~ all of our gifts were way lame! In fact, Jared dubbed the sand paper as the "most random gift" he had ever received! And if anyone is wondering what in the world the squirt bottle with blue liquid is, it is a diluted windex solution for Jared to keep in his car, just in case the dispensers of the wiper fluid freezes. I want the love of my life to be safe!!!
Thank goodness for both of our parents who provided Jared with some great gifts and some sweet moolah!
On Friday, we had his requested BLT Pizza for his birthday dinner. On Sunday, we had his requested German chocolate cake that he shared with the boys at the missionary meeting. And last, but not least, we went and ate out a week and one day after his birthday! When you only have so much time together, you must split up festivities over a few days. We had fun doing it!
