Our Nativity on Christmas Day

On Christmas, we got together with friends to have a huge dinner and to reenact the nativity. With all the good eats that the Englands and McBrides brought, we truly had a feast (which included 3 wonderfully rich desserts!

Between dinner and the nativity, the guys took dinner to two people and the gals cleaned up. The kids watched a Christmas show, and Adelaide fell asleep, even amidst all of the hubbub. All of the excitement of the day wore her out.

And talk about a great Ceasar Augustus (if only the picture had focused on him and not on his 'tax edict').

Our sweet little angel had a different 'Member of the Heavenly Host' help her out with her big part.

It was really fun to have a live baby to play Jesus! Truman was perfect for the role; he was perfectly content the whole time. He was the star of the play, and he didn't even know it.

We had a lot of fun with our little ones and us 'big ones' all getting to participate in our representation of the truly miraculous story of the Nativity!

I am so grateful for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! One of the amazing blessings that comes from being a member of it is the ability to get to know many amazing people that share common beliefs about our precious Savior. This blessing enriches my life in numerous ways!
