This year, I was informed by Adelaide that we never really celebrate Valentine's; according to her, we just act like it doesn't exist. I laughed, partially because it is true!
I guess preparing the valentines to hand out together was just not going to cut it this year!Luckily, some presents from grandparents spiced it up a bit!!!
Wow, isn't Em beautiful? Her mommy sure thinks she is!
The girls got dressed up for the occasion, including putting on make up.
More pics of Emmy, because we simply can't get enough of this bright eyed and bushy tailed beauty:o)
Gotta love Lexi's face!!!
And as for me needing to step it up, I did so with the help of the nearby dollar store!
All that is needed are glow sticks, tape, a dark room, and fun songs to dance to. Oh...I forgot...and a camera to document that, for at least one year of Addie's life, we did not just pretend that Valentine's didn't exist!!!!!
The cool thing about the pics is that our camera kept setting itself to take 6-7 seconds of input per picture, so they turned out pretty exciting! Yep, those colorful creatures are simply us jamming out to some of our favorite rockin' love songs.
We topped it off with heart brownies that were pretty easy using a heart cookie cutter.
The celebration wasn't expensive, wasn't too complicated, and made the night right according to Addie!
I would wish you all a 'Happy Valentine's,' but since I am posting this in April, I guess I will just send out my wishes that we all can show love to our loved ones the whole year round!
So, I know I don't comment all the time, but I love reading your blog. :) You are such a great mom. I want to be just like you. ;)
