Wow... a lot has happened in the past months, enough to keep me away from blogging. Since this is one of my main ways to family journal, I am bound and determined to catch up. So journey with me back to the first part of May. While Jared was in Africa, my dearest mom came out to help me to get a head start on the packing process. Oh boy, did we work so hard that the Sunday that she was out there became an even more appreciated day of rest!
Sweet dreams to some of my favorite gals;o)I mostly sorted through stuff and my mom packed up the keepers. Yes; the chef pig made the cut. I had to take a pic of him becoming a real 'pig in a blanket!' Ha ha...weird things make me happy.
My mom was so sweet and selfless. This trip had her flying home on her birthday. BUMMER! We wanted to do a little something for her before she headed out, so we tried to provide her with a simple breakfast (figuring bacon, eggs and pancakes/waffles may be too heavy for a traveling day).
Happy Birthday, Grandma!!!
No surprise that she got to share some of her breakfast with this grateful guy!
Later that same day, after Grandma had departed, Lexi decided to continue the celebration by making a birthday cake out of wheat thins and raisins. Delicious, eh?
THANK YOU!!!
We could not have done it without you!!!!!
