On Memorial Day, we went with the Johnsons to Longwood Gardens, so that we could hang out once more before our move. It was a lot of fun, and was such a pretty day that we spent hours there. We got great exercise by walking the park for miles, and we got a great many pictures...ha ha...sorry if it is too many. Funny thing, though, as we helped to get complete pics of each other's families, we totally forgot to get a group picture together ;o) Such is life with kids!
Picnic time was delightful, other than the massive 'spider that sat down beside her,' her, her, her, him, and him. In an effort to not scream too loudly, to get the kids and everything off the blanket, and to have Jared fling the spider off our blanket far, far away, I did not think to get a picture of it.The gardens were lovely as always and we got to see some areas that we had not explored before.
The kids were happy to...
Be eaten by a bush dog,...
Climb inside a tent of a tree,...
Run around and a round and up and down,...
Experience the wonder of waterfalls,...
Walk through a true garden tower,...
Go back up again another time,...
Slide down,...
Smile up,...
Be kissably cute,...
Tada happily,...
Pull perfect grumpy, 'nongrumpy' faces,...
Share grass,...
Smile when being littered on,...
Be one with the grass,...
Toss pennies,...
Go headfirst just to get soaked,...
Paint with water,...
Relax on charming chairs,...
Try to pick the 'purty' purple flowers
Display desires to be dragon like,...
And go where no Jed has gone before.
Amidst all of that, we were able to get some pics of the whole family. Thanks, Kayce!!!
I like the picture above and below as a combined message. Just as soon as we felt pretty well grounded back out in the Northeast, we were going to take a big leap as a family to a new place and a new phase in our lives!
Thanks to the Johnsons for sharing the memorable day with us! We hope that when you take your next leap, you will land close to us again!!!

So glad you are back. Looking forward to seeing what you are up to these days. We visited Morris Arboretum yesterday and I thought about Longwood Gardens, what a great place to enjoy as a family.
