Time is flying fast in this new year, mainly because we have cuties that keep us hopping!
Jared isn't the only one that gives eye exams in our family; Jed is also a pro at them (especially with his favorite ocular tool of a spinning light toy)! After somewhat enviously seeing Addie get invited to a lot more birthday parties, it was finally Lexi's turn! Even better yet, it was a Peter Piper Pizza birthday party. She had a ton of fun!!!
Jared has been putting his computer to really good use, studying for the boards and working on scouts stuff, but sometimes he just...can't...stay...a...wake...Zzzz! Ha ha...love my tired man, who works so hard for his family!!! By the end of the day, he is justifiably exhausted:o)
For Lexi's star student week, I got to go into the class and read a letter about my sweet girl! This took a bit of arranging, but I got there and she was one happy girl!
I brought her and Addie McDonald's Happy Meals, and I made sure to eat with both of them! If I was going to hire a babysitter to watch my 2 kids at home, I was going to take full advantage and make sure one of them wouldn't be left out (a.k.a. I didn't want to hear any "that's not fair" "you've never eaten lunch with me" statements)!!!
We all were happy to spend time eating together, and I got to have the girls also show off their favorite things to do outside during their recess! It was a good day!!!
It also was a sunny day!!!
Jed is one cute, friendly boy, but sometimes he needs his space;o) He put this storage container over himself, and lifted it just long enough to tell me with a smile, "I need to be alone!"
Emmy has a thing for finding and embracing nasty things, like the ABC (already been chewed) gum at the park that I found her chomping away on and...
dirty diapers that she has a thing for picking up and holding! Yuck, girlie!!!
When I get her in trouble, then she always acts like she was just trying to give it to me to help me out. Sure you were, Em!
The girls and I decided that it would be fun to do a spin off the "Guiness Book of World Records" after working on this amazing block staircase, but we would have it be a "Peterson Book of Family Records!"
So, I now present the tallest block staircase built in our 2014 edition! More records to come your way, so keep an eye out!
This guy really, really loves his fireman pjs! Yes, he was watching them wash in the washer, and ...
He was one happy soon to be fireman!!!
Addie lost another tooth, but this one has a funny story!
Grandma Palmer, the tooth pulling enthusiast;o), decided to help Addie out. The tooth fairy was going to leave Addie 2 dollars, if she got it out while her Grandparents were in town. So, Grandma convinced her to work on it by tying floss around it and having Addie wiggle it around and pull on it with the floss. Two problems arose, namely 1 - Addie's tooth was stubborn and 2 - the floss got stuck up high in her tooth. Grandma ended up cutting the floss, hoping it would come apart and fall out, but when Addie finally got her tooth out, about 2 weeks later, the strand of floss was still tied like a tight, shiny ribbon to the top of it. Check it out!
Lexi's 100 Day Poster to celebrate her hundredth day of school was super fun to make together, but it seemed as if it glittered our entire house!
Let's just say that we got a bit/a lot of glitter on the floor, and with 6 different people walking about, we tracked it all over the place!
Was all the glitter worth it? Yes, it fulfilled its PORPOISE, since her hundred SEA stickers made a big SPLASH at SCHOOL and Lexi was very GULLad about her FINal product!
Holy MACKEREL, I OTTER stop, because I fEEL that if I keep SAILing with this OCEANIC talk I may cause you too much gREEF, and you may start to see me as your ANEMONE and bust out your GARgantuan MUSSELS to try to SNAPPER at me or even to try to KRILL me, and that would be CRABpy! WHALE, okay, I will SCALE it down to KELP you out by stopping being so SEALly!
Wow, I just had way too much fun!!! I am so mature;o)
