Scout Master Supporters

So, Jared got assigned to a calling that he is NATURALLY so excited about!  Ha ha...or NOT!  He is not too thrilled about being the new scout master, simply because he is NOT a NATURAL outdoorsman!!!  He accepted the calling, but we thought he may need a little support and encouragement from our family.
Addie and Lexi helped to make this "COME WHAT MAY,... AND LOVE IT!" poster for him, portraying him doing some of the things that he had specifically mentioned as skill sets that he doesn't have!

We BELIEVE in you, Jared!!!  And even if it is not something that will come as naturally, we know you can do it, because you are one diligent dude;o)
One of the ways that I want to support him is by keeping it together on the weeknight that he will have scouts or  when he goes on campouts.
One of those first nights, I ventured out with the kids and took a gander at a famed Christmas happy street in Chandler.  Check out these holiday CHEERIFIC homes!

Santa even decided to come and hangout at one of the homes!  While none of my kids wanted to sit on his lap, all I wanted was a picture with them with Santa.  I got what I wanted;o)

I had never been before, so I had planned on just driving the street in the car.  After driving it, though, it was apparent that the experience would be a ton better walking the street, as would the pictures be a lot more personal.  I did not have us well prepared for the slightly chilly night!  So, Lexi shared her jacket with Addie, and wore mine, since neither Addie nor Jed were willing to wear mine.  Poor Emmy only had socks (no shoes), but she was super happy, nonetheless!!!

This one is for you, Daddy/Jared/Snoopy fan!
One of the kids' favorites was "Santa's Theater," where they got to watch a few minutes of "Elf."
Supposedly, this was the first year the theater seats graced the street!
My kids loved the whole night!!!  I did, too!
