Got Artificial Turf?

When I was a little girl, I always dreamed of having artificial grass!...or not!  Ha ha...I also never dreamed of living in Arizona where it is in the realm of normal to have it!  Why?  Well, due to the weather out here, and the strict HOAs, you have to resod the grass every fall so that you can have your 'winter grass!'  It seemed like a BIG hassle that we may not be up to, since there is enough on us this year to acclimate to with a new job, new area, new school, new callings, etc.
Luckily, the kids seem to like it, even if we do have only a small patch of the expensive stuff;o)
They also enjoy throwing the rocks, and we have plenty to throw!

Lexi also really loves the big rocks!  They give her opportunities to meditate and become one with her inner mojo;o)
Most importantly, the grass passed the roll test!
Another fun thing is getting to know the different plants.  We learned that we have some dwarf pomegranate bushes, when one produced a noticeably big bulb!  When Addie threw it up and let it fall, it cracked open and, voila, the fruit was inside!
We are loving having a finished front yard; it definitely makes it feel more like home!!!  We can't wait to get a backyard, too, but we actually can wait, simply because we have to!!!  There have been a lot of other things that have had to take precedence this year, including Lexi's medical bills, a refrigerator, table, washer, dryer, and a TV.  When you haven't bought many things for years, scrimping during school and training, there is such an enormous list of things that are nonexistant, broken, or severely outdated.  I am very grateful for all that we have been able to get this year, and I am looking forward to other things that will be bought/replaced in their due time;o)
