Our Sickies

Being sick is no fun, and it seems like we have had quite a few sicknesses recently.

The worst by far was the virus that Emmy and Jed got!  It really took a toll on our petite, sweet Em.  Anyone who knows Emmy for long knows she has a sassy, happy personality.  In fact, in Jersey last year, some of the dance moms nicknamed her 'Smiley Baby!'  I knew my poor baby was drained when, despite my best efforts, I could not get her to smile!  I was trying to document how she was doing to text to Jared, since he wanted an update.

Needles to say, I was so relieved when I saw the following!!!

 Smiley Baby returned! 

I knew she was really well, when she started being a tease again!

 Man, I love this girl!!!

 Besides the flu and the colds that have been present in our home in one kid or the other, Jed also awoke one night with croup.  He would have spells where he would 'bark' and have a pretty hard time respirating.  We made up a bed for him in our room and had him sleep there for that night.  Fortunately, he was much better by morning, even good enough that I felt fine having him sleep back in his and Em's room.  He did not feel fine about that, though, letting us know that he didn't want to sleep with Emmy because he did not like Emmy.  Ha ha!  The little twerp got to sleep in our room one more night and in Addie's room the next; then, I made him sleep back with Emmy, despite his continuing protests.  I knew he really loved Emmy, but was just really enjoying the sleepovers;o)
